About Catie

Catie received a dual degree of Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Education from The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. During her time at Wooster, she also obtained an early childhood teaching license, through years of in-class experience working with children. She graduated from The University of Kansas with a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology. During her time at KU, Catie provided individual and group vocational counseling to college students at The University’s Career Center & continues to enjoy incorporating that into her work with clients when applicable. Catie has fulfilled all requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Kansas as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri. Additionally, Catie has satisfied requirements to serve as a clinical supervisor to other therapists in the state of Kansas.

After graduating Catie worked in private practice settings, addressing the wide array of needs in multiple communities. Catie now specializes in providing counseling to adolescents, young adults, and families with presenting concerns primarily of anxiety, depression, behavioral & academic problems, low self-esteem, ADHD and adjustment and transitional challenges. Catie has experience working with a broad range of diagnoses & presenting concerns. She is also anEMDR trained clinician & incorporates this modality into her work when clinically appropriate.

Catie tailors her 'toolbox' to meet the needs of clients developmentally & emotionally, through an empathetic, person-centered & strengths-based perspective. Catie works alongside you & your family utilizing play, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy & Positive Psychology, as we work together to identify appropriate coping skills, alleviate areas of concern & to achieve therapeutic goals.

Catie takes pride in her ability to connect with each client individually & meet them where they are, as they are. Catie strives to create an environment in which her clients feel safe & supported in order to make the therapeutic process work & achieve the goals set forth.  

A little bit about me personally…In my spare time I love spending time with friends & family, walking my Golden Retriever Gracie, practicing the Spanish language, or planning my next trip! I look forward to meeting & working with you!
